Wednesday 2/7/18 - Visited Petroglyph National Monument just outside of Albuquerque. The day was a blue bird day in the 60's (finally). It was a great relatively short hike, about 2 miles which was made a little more difficult because of sand. It was like walking on a beach in some parts. The Indians carved their drawings anywhere from 800 to 2,000 years ago. Pretty amazing that they are still visible. During our hike we saw several Road Runners, which are similar in size to a Pheasant and a glimpse of a Jack Rabbit, which are huge. We also visited three extinct volcano sites which last erupted 120,000 years ago.
Note the some of the hands have six fingers
Best guess this is an etching of a Macaw Bird
