4/14/18 Monument Valley, Ut. - Last day here. We took a 3 1/2 hour Valley tour first thing in the morning. Pretty chilly to start at 34 degrees but thankfully the winds died down over night. Our Navajo guide was quite good and we found the dollars spent worthwhile. Below are pic's from our tour as well as we managed to drive the Mark's rental car through part of the Valley not covered by the tour.
Bundled up and looking as "cool' as we can.

Wendy clicked a picture of this bird at our first stop. We think it is a Shrike which resides in the Southwest. This is just about the only wildlife we have seen in this area other then Buzzards or Crows.

Our tour including meeting a Navajo woman and her family living in the valley. The house is a Hogan made of wood and mud.
Loretta gave us a quick review of spinning and weaving wool.

We did have a little issue in the sand, stuck!
                                                         Wendy saved the day.
This arch is in the ceiling of the cave. This cave and the adjacent arch were used in the Indiana Jones movie.

A view of the two arches from a distance. Sure looks like a face

Third arch, Sun's Eye Arch, we saw in the Valley

Believe or not Wendy was worn out and took a needed snooze
