3/17/18 Travel Day to Myers Flat and waiting for Mark & Jen & boys to arrive.

3/18/18 - we spent the day exploring the new area. Several good hikes in the redwood groves and still amazed how big the trees are. As you will note below this area is infamous for Big Foot sightings so we had to check it out.

Believe or not someone in the 20's hollowed out the redwood put it on wheels and used it as a mobile house. A mere 4 tons, 32 feet long 7 feet tall inside. The log was hollowed by hand chisel which took a year.

This tree is the GrandFather tree 1800 years old.

                                                    Great hikes and hide-n-go-seek

 And of course a visit to the Redwoods wouldn't be complete without driving through a tree. The rental van just barely made it.
