3/20/19 - travel day to Lake Tahoe. Lake Tahoe is at 5,000 feet and in the winter is very snowy. In fact last week they received 5 feet of additional snow in a couple of days. The drive up the mountain takes you through Donner Pass, 7500 ft altitude, which is infamous with tales of people in a wagon train during 1800's resorting to cannibalism to survive. We too found the drive up with the camper quite stressful!
